With I VENEXIANI (the Venetians), as the title suggests, the artist 
gives his view of the Venetian people themselves -tree-like 
forms, adverse to change, their roots thrust deep into the city 
stones  or buried in the mud of the  lagoon 
where the mainland factories loom threateningly on the horizon.
These canvas which can also be seen in his studio in the DorsoDuro 
can be distinguished from the Venetian scenes we are accustomed to 
seeing not only by their content and style but also by the fact that 
they are signed with Giagan's real name, G.Bacci.
